Hop on a Grave Encounters trolley tour for a thrilling and chilling overview of Savannah’s notorious haunted history. Every night of the week, our ghostly guides share blood-curdling tales of murder, voodoo, death, disease and disaster in the Hostess City of the South. Our original ghost tour stands apart as Savannah’s best introduction to the city’s paranormal past.
Along the way, you’ll hear lively tales told by some of Savannah’s most illustrious “spirits” – from deceased theater performers to dead pirates – who hop on the trolley to tell their terrifying tales of woe. Learn whether Savannah socialite Matilda Sorrel actually killed herself, uncover Civil War secrets from Confederate soldiers, discover where the victims in the Siege of Savannah are buried and “meet” some of Savannah’s most frightful historic figures.
Additional highlights include the Sorrel-Weed House, widely considered the most haunted house in Savannah, and Colonial Park Cemetery, where many Yellow Fever victims are buried. We’ll also see the iconic Olde Pink House, known for its supernatural activity, as well as Yamacraw Bluff, Madison Square, the Mercer-Williams House, the Kehoe House, 17Hundred90 and other haunted sites around downtown Savannah.

We went to Savannah for the weekend. It was our first time there. The old Savannah Tour was a great way to see the whole area so we knew where... read more we wanted to go the other days of our trip. I recommend the hop on hop off tour. We started at the visitor center (highly recommended starting there). Our first guide was very hard to understand. We hopped off and when we got back on, our second guide was great! Very knowledgeable and funny. We hopped off for lunch, and fortunately when we hopped back on, we got another great guide. Each guide shares their own perspective since there’s no script. If I could do it again, I’d get the two day hop on hop off tour so we could use the trolley longer and hear more guides. Also, they offer $1 waters at the first stop which was great since it was a bit humid when we went slow.
Our tour was lovely and our guide was funny and informative. We did the hop-on hop-off and it was very convenient and fun. They would have received 4 stars except... read more they have a bonus service I wasn’t expecting. They will send a trolly to you, wherever you are in the city, to pick you up and take you to the start of your tour. We called in the morning to figure out where to wait and within minutes we were getting picked up and taken to the right place. The agent on the phone was also remarkably cheerful, helpful, and delightful. Recommend!
We HIGHLY suggest taking the Ghost Tours that Old Savannah Tours offers. Especially, to recommend "The Good Doctor" (Adam) and Ethel as your tour guides. My Husband and I went to Savannah for our anniversary and We loved these tours to understand Savannah's history and where to shop/eat from locals.
The Comedian man picked my son (10 yrs old) and me up at our hotel. He was awesome and told us a lot about Savannah on our way to... read more the main office. Then we started our tour with Robbin. Oh my gosh, my son and I absolutely adored her. She was full of awesome stories about Savannah's history as well as some hilarious jokes. We hated to leave her when we got off at the Pirate House. After we finished the tour, we were walking on Bay St back to our hotel. Robbin drove past, and recognized us from being with her tour 3 hrs earlier. She waved to us, which made my sons day!! She remembered us being on her tour. This is an amazing tour with fantastic guides. My son wanted to go hang out with Robbin when she got off work if that tells you anything. She is absolutely the best by far!!!!
