Hop on a Grave Encounters trolley tour for a thrilling and chilling overview of Savannah’s notorious haunted history. Every night of the week, our ghostly guides share blood-curdling tales of murder, voodoo, death, disease and disaster in the Hostess City of the South. Our original ghost tour stands apart as Savannah’s best introduction to the city’s paranormal past.
Along the way, you’ll hear lively tales told by some of Savannah’s most illustrious “spirits” – from deceased theater performers to dead pirates – who hop on the trolley to tell their terrifying tales of woe. Learn whether Savannah socialite Matilda Sorrel actually killed herself, uncover Civil War secrets from Confederate soldiers, discover where the victims in the Siege of Savannah are buried and “meet” some of Savannah’s most frightful historic figures.
Additional highlights include the Sorrel-Weed House, widely considered the most haunted house in Savannah, and Colonial Park Cemetery, where many Yellow Fever victims are buried. We’ll also see the iconic Olde Pink House, known for its supernatural activity, as well as Yamacraw Bluff, Madison Square, the Mercer-Williams House, the Kehoe House, 17Hundred90 and other haunted sites around downtown Savannah.

This was a great tour! Best way to see and soak up the history of Savannah if you're short on time. Vince and Miss Ethel were awesome. Vince knew his... read more stuff and was great to add in comedy and get people engaged. You'll definitely want to tip, so make sure to bring some cash! Would absolutely recommend.
We HIGHLY suggest taking the Ghost Tours that Old Savannah Tours offers. Especially, to recommend "The Good Doctor" (Adam) and Ethel as your tour guides. They are by far the... read more best in the business. The Good Doctor eloquently speaks about Savannah's most famous ghosts as well as keeping his audience entertained and engaged. He's the best storyteller paints a beautiful picture of Savannah.
My Husband and I went to Savannah for our anniversary and We loved these tours to understand Savannah's history and where to shop/eat from locals.
We went to Savannah for the weekend. It was our first time there. The old Savannah Tour was a great way to see the whole area so we knew where... read more we wanted to go the other days of our trip. I recommend the hop on hop off tour. We started at the visitor center (highly recommended starting there). Our first guide was very hard to understand. We hopped off and when we got back on, our second guide was great! Very knowledgeable and funny. We hopped off for lunch, and fortunately when we hopped back on, we got another great guide. Each guide shares their own perspective since there’s no script. If I could do it again, I’d get the two day hop on hop off tour so we could use the trolley longer and hear more guides. Also, they offer $1 waters at the first stop which was great since it was a bit humid when we went slow.
Mr. Comedy was my tour guide and Is the best out of dozens of tour guides I've had. Knows a lot and Is fun and deserves bigger tips but I... read more couldn't make change... Differs from Old Town Trolley because cheaper and character actors board at some stop s to tell stories. Only bad thing is they make you get off the bus after one round so I couldn't continue with Mr.Comedy. 😢
